Rebecca Anne Smith

Rebecca Smith, BSN, RN, CEN, TCRN is an experienced registered nurse whose career has spanned emergency and trauma nursing at nationally recognized healthcare systems, including Parkland Health & Hospital System and Stanford Health Care. Her passion for helping patients move beyond illness management and toward meaningful, sustainable wellness led her to functional medicine and a more whole-person approach to nursing care.
Now practicing as a functional medicine nurse in Homer, Alaska, Rebecca is working to develop a nursing role that will allow her to combine her clinical experience with curiosity, patient education, and data-informed care to help patients better understand the patterns influencing their health. She is especially passionate about expanding the nurse’s role in prevention, health optimization, and patient empowerment—and developing practical frameworks that help nurses translate complex health information into meaningful, achievable action.
