Beth Segerholm

DNP, FNP-BC, IFMCP

Program Faculty

Beth Segerholm has been in the nursing profession for over a decade. From the hospital setting to outpatient primary care she has worked with all ailments. She is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner as well as an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota along with being a two sport collegiate athlete. During this time she received recognition as a Daktronics NAIA scholar athlete and earned the President's Key Award through graduating with the top GPA of her class. Following her undergraduate studies, she pursued her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Arizona State University. She graduated in 2018 with Summa Cum Laude honors.

Currently she works at Root Cause Medical Clinic as a lead Functional Medicine Practitioner. There is nothing Beth does not work with as she identifies with being a healer of the whole being, but her areas of expertise are optimizing detoxification, cardiometabolic, microbiome/gut, and hormone function. Beth is a passionate person both in her professional and personal life. She is motivated to help her patients feel their best through a holistic approach that focuses on root cause analysis in order to find a solution to her patients' ailments. She understands that there is not a one size fits all approach to health and healing, and therefore, is committed to partnering with her patients to create an individual plan that is focused on reaching optimal being by unburdening the body from life's stressors so it may again innately heal.
